Understanding THCA, DEA Regulations, and the Farm Bill Restructure

The legal landscape surrounding cannabis and its derivatives, including THCA (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid), is evolving rapidly at both federal and state levels. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) classifies cannabis and its components under various schedules, impacting how products containing THCA are regulated and distributed.

Following the 2018 Farm Bill restructure, hemp and hemp-derived cannabinoids, including certain forms of THCA with less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC on a dry weight basis, were federally legalized. This has allowed for the growth of hemp cultivation and the development of many hemp-based products nationwide.

However, state entities maintain their own regulatory frameworks, which can vary significantly. It is important to understand that while hemp-derived THCA products are federally legal under the Farm Bill, state laws may impose additional restrictions or requirements.

Our commitment is to provide products that comply fully with federal regulations and applicable state laws, ensuring safe and lawful access to THCA and hemp-based products.
